Morgan Griffin made her small screen debut at the age of 14 in the Southern Star Children’s Series The Sleepover Club, as the fun loving and likeable character ‘Charlie’. The series was based on the international best-selling children’s’ books and was about life from the point of view of five young girls who had a secret society with rules and conventions – no parents or boys allowed. Morgan became an ‘idol’ for many young girls internationally.
Prior to this Morgan was seen in Delta Goodrem’s music film clip Innocent Eyes, for which she was hand-picked for the role by Delta herself.
Morgan quickly made the leap to the big screen with Nim’s Island, which was filmed on location on the Gold Coast and gave her the opportunity to work with and learn from Academy Award winner Jodie Foster and Abigail Breslin.
In 2008, Morgan was cast in two breakthough roles in Accidents Happen, alongside Geena Davis, and the lead female role in Charlie and Boots alongside fellow Australians Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobson. Both films are due to be released in 2009.
Morgan is currently in Year 12 at school and continuing to juggle her rising acting career along with school studies.
